Police appeal after bookie robbery

POLICE want to speak to people who were in a bookmakers that was robbed in Marsh House Lane, Woolston.

They also want other witnesses to come forward.

The betting shop was robbed at 5.45pm on Monday, by a man who threatened staff with what police called a 'wooden implement'.

A 23-year-old man is 'helping police with enquiries'.
