WARRINGTON Wolves maintained their bid to finish third and consigned Widnes to relegation with a 60-16 victory at the Halton Stadium on Sunday.
Widnes put up a fight early on but Wolves skipper Lee Briers, on his return from a thigh strain, dominated the match and engineered many of the 11 tries scored by Henry Fa'afili, two, Toa Kohe-Love, two, Brent Grose, Mark Gleeson, Paul Wood, Ben Westwood, Chris Riley and Danny Lima.
Chris Bridge, who switched to the wing to allow for Briers' return at stand off, banged over eight goals from 11 attempts.
