Firm helps children get sporty

A CHILDREN'S club has received a £1,000 donation from Runcorn-based chemicals manufacturer, INEOS Fluor.

Beechwood Link Club, in Grasmere Drive, Runcorn, provides out of school care and needed the donation to buy a range of sports equipment for the 50 active five to 11-year-olds that they have been looking after during the school holidays.

Jay Wiegand, Plant Manager for INEOS Fluor, said: "The donation meant that the club was able to buy a whole host of sports and play equipment, including cricket bats, hockey sticks and hula hoops.

"At the very least, it will enable the children to get outside and make the most of the last few weeks of the summer."
