Concert will be music to the ears of shoppers

A JAZZ legend will be making an appearance in Golden Square Saturday, August 27, in the Old Market Place, from 7pm.

This free event is open to all and will include musician Peter Price playing jazz and blues followed by the Wigan Youth Jazz orchestra, and then Georgie Fame will be treating guests to a number of performances.

This event has been organised by town centre businesses working in partnership with Warrington Borough Council, the police and the voluntary sector.

Michael Hancock, chairman of Town Centre Warrington Partnership, said: "The concert illustrates the towns centre's commitment to supporting talent in the north west, while providing a key event in the region's community calendar."
