'There's no place like home'

A WOMAN who has lived in the same road all her life says there is nowhere like Penketh.

Marjorie Peters, nee Twigg, got in touch with the Warrington Guardian after seeing a picture of The Park in the July 28 edition, which is featuring in an exhibition at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery.

Mrs Peters said: "You can see number 25, the house where I was born, on the photograph. My dad worked in the tannery as did three of my sisters and one brother.

"I still live in The Park and love it. I honestly can't think of anywhere else I'd rather live."

Mrs Peters was born on May 4, 1939.
