A FORMER Lymm High School pupil went back to her roots to inspire today's pupils to follow her success.
Tanya Robb is currently touring the country with a starring role in hit-musical Starlight Express and during a recent performance in Manchester she stopped by the school to pass on some tips of the trade.
The 25-year-old left the school to attend theatre school in London and has appeared in shows such as We Will Rock You and 42nd Street.
She was invited back to Lymm by dance teacher Karen Speers who says her visit had a huge influence on the pupils.
She said: "She has been back to do workshops before.
"She came and sang for us and did some dance routines too.
"The students had a great time and they got to ask her questions and learn about the commitment you have to have if you want to achieve what she has achieved.
"They also got to see how determined she is but that you can achieve such brilliant success."
Around 100 pupils joined in the workshop at the school which was held just before the end of term.
Tanya left Lymm High School nine years ago to join the Doreen Bird College in London, although her family still lives in the area.
