Driving Miss Katie... look out for learners!

DON'T you need a licence to drive that thing?

When little Katie-Ellen Jones's parents contacted Tesco to buy her a trolley car, the supermarket decided to let her have it for free.

The two-and-a-half-year-old, from Runcorn, has a rare genetic disorder known as Pallister Hall Syndrome, which means she is on a permanent ventilator.

When she's out of the house, the equipment has to be attached to her pushchair, but while in the trolley car, it can be stored in the trolley section as she sits in the driving seat.

Katie-Ellen's mum, Kerry, said: "When Katie-Ellen is in the driver's seat her eyes light up and we have never seen her giggle so much.

"She drives round like a speed demon pretending to beep other customers out of the way."
