Man falsely claimed cash

A 28-YEAR-OLD man who claimed job seekers allowance while he was working has appeared in court.

Paul Galbraith of Boydell Avenue, Latchford, appeared at Warrington Magistrates on Tuesday where he admitted making three false claims for benefits while he was employed as a temporary worker for an agency.

The court heard during March last year he was overpaid by £210.78

He was fined £300 for each of the three false claims and also ordered to pay £75 court costs.
