Truck firm in buyout

CONGLETON-BASED trailer and truck bodybuilder Boalloy has been bought out by three of the company's directors.

The buyout was undertaken as the original managing director, Gerry Brown, and technical director Grahame Potter, had expressed their wish to retire from the business.

Sir James Duncan, the non-executive chairman, has also taken the opportunity to resign.

The new management team will be headed by Jim Gibb, who in addition to his current sales and marketing responsibilities will become managing director.

Boalloy employs more than 400 people across its four main manufacturing sites.

Turnover for the year to March was £32 million.
