Teens quizzed about discos

TEENAGERS attending summer holiday discos are being invited to have their say on the initiative.

The first of three discos takes place tonight at Alsager Civic Centre from 7pm to 9pm.

The others are being staged at Sandbach Town Hall next Thursday, August 11, and Middlewich Civic Hall on Thursday, August 18.

The discos are being organised by the community development team at Congleton Borough Council to give young people something to do during the summer evenings.

The discos are for young people aged between 11 and 16, and run from 7pm to 9pm.

The entrance fee is £2, which is aimed at covering the £80 cost of the disco plus venue hire and staffing and security costs.

The borough council said young people attending the discos would be asked what they thought of the events, and if they would like more.

A disco is not being held at Congleton Town Hall because it is booked for other events.
