The kids

are alright!

A SUMMER 'music spectacular' saw children gather at Sir Thomas Boteler High School in Latchford to share in a day of community music.

Pupils from Sir Thomas Boteler, Oakwood Avenue, Latchford CE and Alderman Bolton schools, as well as the Christ Church choir, performed at the event, with children as young as six taking part in the celebration.

Annette Clarke, head of music at Sir Thomas Boteler, said: "There was all types of music from Brazilian samba to pop to wind bands. We want to create a musical community, where our feeder schools can come together with our pupils to meet and share. There were 200 people in our hall at a time, with nearly 600 pupils and parents involved in total.

"It was fantastic, the parents were thrilled, there were lots of positive comments and we've decided to make it an annual event. The date is set for next year already!"
