Stress busting firm is aiming to box clever

A STRESS busting business offering private workouts for clients has been set up by two mid Cheshire fitness enthusiasts.

The Punch Clinic, based in Queens Court, Winsford, provides people with the opportunity to vent their pent up frustrations on punch bags and other stress relieving equipment.

Neil Birke, 31, who owns the business with Marc Westacott, 32, believes a fitness workout is the best way to tackle problems of stress.

He said: "There are five rooms here that people can hire out either individually or with friends and have a really good training session.

"There are punch bags, speed balls and slam men which all help to relieve stress as well as really improve fitness."

Neil is hoping the business will also offer privacy for people who do not like going to gyms.

He said: "If someone is overweight they are sometimes too embarrassed to go to the gym but here they can hire a room by themselves.

"We have also had a lot of interest from women who like the boxing style of training but wouldn't want to go to a boxing club.

"If there are any young people who have anger problems then again I feel this would be a good place for them to come and focus their energy into something positive."

Both Neil and Marc have experience in training and fitness and believe they can offer expert advice.

Neil said: "The fitness industry is growing rapidly and I think that is because people are starting to understand that there are many benefits to training other than the physical aspects."
