Motorcyclist injured

A MOTORCYCLIST suffered a broken leg and severe cuts after a rush-hour collision on Birchwood Way.

The man was taken to Warrington Hospital with multiple fractures when he became trapped between his Aprilla scooter and a red Vauxhall Astra on Monday.

The smash happened at 5.15pm the motorcyclist weaved through a traffic queue and the Astra, driven by a 19-year-old boy, pulled out colliding with the victim.

The road was closed for an hour while police dealt with the accident.
