Kelly's design appeal

A DREAM could soon come true for ambitious model Kelly Murrell - with your help.

That's the message to enterprising local companies willing to back her bid to become Miss England.

"I'm looking for a dress designer," said Kelly, 19, of Murdishaw, Runcorn. "The event will be televised so local sponsors will get publicity."

Kelly is through to the final of Miss England in September after being crowned Miss Warrington-Cheshire.

If she wins this prestigious title, she'll automatically go forward to Miss World.

"I really enjoy modelling," said Kelly, who is studying for a business degree in marketing at Manchester University. "It's something I've always wanted to do."

Kelly, who hopes to open her own business, has done fashion shoots for catalogues. She was crowned Warrington Model Girl when she was 15 and made it to the final of Britain's Top Model, after beating 4,000 contestants.

She now faces tough opposition as 36 Miss England finalists will be whittled down to 15 in a stringent two day contest. Our photographer Dave Gillespie snapped her at Norton Priory Museum and Gardens.
