WESTY Park was transformed into a summer carnival on Saturday as residents celebrated their annual festival.
Stalls reflecting Westy community life, including St Margaret's Community Centre, Golden Gates Housing, Trading Standards and Westy Sure Start, were joined by live entertainment provided by the Zirconia Morris troop and the Shooting Stars singers.
Warrington Fire Brigade gave a demonstration on how to handle kitchen fires, while offering free fire alarms and inspections to residents.
Westy Sure Start's Tricia Holding, said: "It was an excellent day, although the attendance could have been better.
"We had three stalls, with hook-a-duck, a lollipop game and four sandpits and we raised just under £100 towards next year's event."
Westy councillor Mike Maher agreed that the day was a success, but also expressed his disappointment with the turnout, attributing it to this year's cancelled walk.
He said: "We were all disappointed about the walk. It's a shame because the carnival has gone from strength to strength every year, but because the police wouldn't support us we didn't attract as many people.
"The day itself still had a good atmosphere, there was absolutely no trouble and a lot of families were out enjoying the event."
