Nature fans find out how to attract wildlife into their gardens

CREWE wildlife fans got the chance to find out more about local nature reserves at the weekend in a special exhibition at a retail store.

The Wildlife Trust visited the Pets at Home store on the Grand Junction Retail Park to explain to people how they can support wildlife in Crewe.

Trust spokesman Adrian Soskin said: "Holding an event like this is a great way to get people involved in encouraging local wildlife and kids really enjoy learning about how they can help out.

"We were on hand all weekend to give people advice on how best to support local wildlife."

The wildlife organisation is made up of a network of 47 local trusts, which collectively care for more than 2,400 nature reserves across the country.

Store manager Lee Buxton said: "Encouraging wildlife into modern gardens can sometimes be difficult and our customers often ask us how they can attract more birds, hedgehogs and squirrels into their gardens."
