England star helps kick off new centre

YOUNG rugby players are pictured helping their hero with some building work.

The teenagers are member of Congleton Rugby Club, and are pictured with England rugby union international Mark Cueto.

Mark is a winger for Sale Sharks, and was invited to officially launch the start of a shopping centre redevelopment.

Hollins Murray Group is spending £6 million on revamping West Heath Shopping Centre in Congleton.

The redevelopment is aimed at modernising the out-dated centre and attracting new businesses and more shoppers.

Mark played football for South Cheshire before going on to greater things in rugby.

He was joined by junior members of Congleton Rugby Club as he officially broke the ground to begin the transformation of the centre.

He then gave the youngsters some top tips on how to improve their rugby skills.

Pictured with Mark are club juniors Aimee Proctor, Mark Beresford, Greg Wood and Ben Somers. Photo supplied.
