GRAHAM Appo is set to be sidelined for Wolves' trip to Hull on Sunday after picking up a knee injury in training.
The utility back from Australia pulled up in training on Friday and was ruled out of the weekend's 26-22 victory over newly promoted Leigh.
The injury forced head coach Paul Cullen to make a late tactical re-think.
He went with three forwards and a converted pack man in Ben Westwood on the bench and Wolves stuttered to their first win of the season.
Their play was patchy at best and they must improve for Sunday's clash at the KC Stadium, kick-off 3.15pm.
Wolves' try scorers against the Centurions were Jon Clarke, two, Martin Gleeson, Nathan Wood and Lee Briers.
Briers set up three of the tries and his kicking in general play was exemplary. It spared Wolves what would have been an embarrassing defeat but he has struggled with his goal kicking so far this season.
He has only a 50 per cent success rate this term and that has led to some fans calling for kicking duties to be handed over to Paul Noone.
Cullen said: "If you are a goal kicker you are either the hero or the villain. The strong point about Lee Briers is that he volunteers for the responsibility. He sticks his head above the parapet and he occasionally gets it shot off.
"He is struggling with his goal kicking at the minute but he is still by far the best goal kicker that we have at this club.
"Paul Noone is the next in line but he couldn't kick against London because he wasn't on the field and he couldn't kick for the majority of the game against Leigh because he was on the bench.
"You can only work with what you've got."
