Carl's bid to make bedtime less dirty

A BUSINESSMAN who has set up a mattress cleaning service believes beds could be affecting the health of people living in mid Cheshire.

Carl Watson, 39, of Wolvesey Place in Winsford, has set up Mattress Angel and says he will be using state of the art equipment to clean the beds and upholstery.

"I think this is the only type of business of its kind in Cheshire and I am confident it will be a success," he said.

"People would be staggered if they knew just how much stuff is removed from a mattress. The equipment I use has been imported from the United States and is specially designed for mattresses.

"It can remove years of toxic dust made from dead human skin cells and the host of horrors that feed on them, especially the house dust mite."

The machine Carl uses has a powerful suction combined with high frequency pulsating waves to unclog the mattress fabric with a sterilising UVC radiator.

Carl said: "The system can also be used on furnishings and carpets but it does not remove stains as these do not affect your health.

"We simply remove the toxic dust and sanitise the mattress and this is often a major help for allergy sufferers."

The mattress cleaning business is a change of direction for Carl, who until recently worked as a security guard.

"I wanted to start my own business and after carrying out research on the Internet I came across this," he said.

"I decided there would be a huge demand for it in this area and just went for it.

"I believe once word gets around about just how much this benefits people's health it will really take off."
