Yobs nabbed

POLICE say they have taken a stand against a group of youths believed to be responsible for causing damage and disorder around the Hillcrest Centre in Halton Brook.

After residents asked for a crackdown on antic-social behaviour at a community action meeting, PC Helen Stacey led a month long operation to catch them.

And early last Tuesday morning, police arrested five male youths aged between 12 and 19 for offences which including assault, damage and public order.

They are all currently on police bail.

A third Community Action Meeting (CAM) is due to be held on Tuesday, March 8, at 8.00pm at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fernhurst, Halton Brook.
