Annie's Chippy is flavour of the month at community centre

AFTER almost two years without a takeaway, the wait is finally over for fish and chip lovers in Dallam.

Annie and Paul Langley opened Annie's Chippy, on Harrison Square, in December, following a tip-off from Annie's mum, who told them the local chippy had been closed for some time.

After a slow start the business is really taking off and they already boast a number of regular customers - some of whom travel a great distance to sample their fish and chips.

Paul Langley said: "We know some people who get the bus from Bewsey to eat our chips.

"We've had no complaints so far - nothing but compliments."

The couple have been living in Holland for the past few years in an effort to finance setting up their own business.

Louis Morris, who works at Dallam Community Centre, added: "I think it will really make a difference to the area. We haven't really got anything like this."
