More loos are needed

CALLS have been made to build more public toilets in Winsford with the current lack of facilities being slammed as 'disgusting'.

The comments have been made by Winsford town councillor Pam Booher, who is appalled there is only one block of public toilets in the town.

She said: "Considering the population of Winsford it is a disgrace that we have only got one set of toilets.

"We shall make sure we ask the borough council to look into this."

The comments come after Vale Royal Borough Council announced it will be carrying out a Best Value review of all public conveniences provision in the area.

Clr Booher said: "If you look at Northwich I think they have three blocks of toilets. It is disgusting that Winsford lacks this essential facility.

"There should be more toilets installed at the marina because it is somewhere that is widely used.

"There are fishermen there all the time as well as other groups doing various activities."

The town council will now pass its recommendations on to Vale Royal Borough Council.
