Welcome to new members

WINSFORD and Middlewich Pensioners' Association held its annual meeting and was delighted to welcome 94 new members.

Harry Mooney was due to step down as chairman but will continue on a temporary basis while the wife of the future chairman recovers from illness.

Harry said: "It was an extremely well attended event and we are looking forward to some really great events in the next few months."

Harry's wife Brenda has retired as secretary after 12 years in the position.

Harry said: "She was presented with a large bouquet of flowers which was nice because she has put in a lot of hard work over the years."

The next event organised by the association will be a social evening on February 24, which will also celebrate Brenda Mooney's birthday.
