Be royal for a day

BUDDING rose queens and princesses still have a few days left to make sure they are in the running for this years Middlewich Rose Fete.

The three categories for the event include the Middlewich fairy queen, which is open to girls aged eight and under, Middlewich rose princess, open to girls between nine and 12 years old and Middlewich rose queen, open for all girls aged 13 years and above.

Entry application forms are available from the Wych Centre, Middlewich Information Centre, Chisholm's newsagents and Middlewich Library. Applications must be returned to the Wych Centre on Saturday, February 19.

Forms must be signed by a parent/guardian and children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all events leading up to the rose fete.

Judging for the three categories will take place on at the Wych Centre, in Civic Way, from 2pm on Saturday, February 26 and the rose fete will take place on April 30.

Organisers are also looking for children to take part in the rose fete as attendants and bearers for the elected queens and local groups are invited to be part of the event.
