Something fishy is going on

YOUNGSTERS at the newly refurbished Brine Leas Playgroup in Nantwich have been discovering the delights of life under the sea.

To cover six stages of learning they've been working on a string of underwater topics, creating portholes, fish, bubble jellyfish, crabs and a counting octopus.

Even snack times have been dedicated to the theme with children making their own tuna paste and salmon sandwiches.

Older children in the group's Rising Fives afternoon sessions have been designing a Finding Nemo display using a range of colours and textures.

The popular pre-school, which caters for children from two and a half year to school age, offers free places to three-year-olds as part of the Ofsted Early Years Development Scheme.
