Halton Sings

SCHOOLCHILDREN are teaming up to perform a series of spectacular concerts.

Children Of Halton Sing will see masses choirs coming together for the largest musical event in the school calendar.

Youngsters will be singing Swinging Samson by Michael Hurd, accompanied by Peter Dawber and Alan Walton.

Each school is invited to perform an instrumental or vocal item of their own choice.

Beechwood, Gorsewood, Palacefields, Moore and Weston will be staging a show on Monday, February 21.

Soloists from the Grange Comprehensive and young musicians from Moore Primary Wind Band will take part.

Our Lady Mother of the Saviour, St Augustine's, St Clements, St Edwards, St Martins and Holy Spirit join St Chad's choir on Tuesday, February 22.

SS Peter & Paul RC High Jazz Band and Samba Band will join St Bede's, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, St Basil's, St Michael's, St John Fisher and St Gerard's on Monday, March 7.

Fairfield High School choir team up with All Saints Upton Primary, Ditton CE, Runcorn All Saints, St Berteline's and St Mary's on Tuesday, March 8.

The Halton School of Samba accompany Ditton Primary, Fairfield Juniors, Moorfield Primary, Simms Cross and Westfield on Wednesday, March 9.

Hillview Primary, Halton Lodge, Hallwood Park and Victoria Road join the Halton Schools Concert Wind Band on Thursday, March 10.

Balloons, hats and flags have been provided by the Co-op for the grand finale.
