Town snap up Witton striker

Warrington Town 0 Colwyn Bay 0

WARRINGTON Town manager Glenn Walker believes that his side needs to win four of their remaining 15 league games to steer clear of relegation.

He is confident that his side will achieve that goal despite a below par performance in Tuesday's bore draw with Colwyn Bay.

Chances were at a premium in the UniBond League first division clash and a lively display from new striker signing Simon Burton represented a rare bright spark for Town, whose next game is at Woodley Sports on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old scored 32 goals in 95 games in his two spells at Witton Albion.

Walker said: "Simon is an ideal replacement for Mike Heverin, who we expect to be out of action for at least a month after he damaged knee ligaments in training."
