AN EXCITED schoolboy from Delamere Park has been chosen as one of the mascots who will lead out the England football team, tonight, Wednesday.
Patrick Baugh, seven, will be travelling to Villa Park for England's friendly game against Holland.
His football-mad mum and dad had just joined the official England fans' club, hoping to go to the World Cup finals in Germany next year, when they noticed a competition for younger members to become a mascot for the Holland game.
Patrick, who is a pupil at The Grange School in Hartford answered the questions correctly and a letter confirming he had won arrived in the post.
His mum Amanda said: "He is really excited and has not stopped talking about it.
"He is especially looking forward to meeting David Beckham and Wayne Rooney."
Amanda and her husband Chris will be taking Patrick to Villa Park, where he will watch the team train and meet the players.
Amanda added: "He is one of the youngest and is small for his age.
"I think he might be a bit overawed.
"He has been taught the National Anthem at school and says he will be singing it, so it will be interesting to see if he has learned it properly."
