Pupils tackle litter with posters

CREATIVE children who protested against litter and dog muck have won tickets to a Warrington Wolves game.

The youngsters from St Paul of the Cross Primary School, designed awareness-raising posters that were judged by Phil Chadwick of Warrington Borough Council's Street Scene team.

Four lucky winners were chosen, who each won a tour of the rugby league club's ground, a chance to speak to players and coaches and a family ticket to see a game.

Phil Chadwick, community liaison officer for Street Scene, said: "The standard of entries was very high and it was a difficult decision."
