Forum backs grant bid

CASH has been allocated by the Latchford Forum to support grant applications to improve facilities on Victoria Park.

The forum has set £400 aside, after members of the youth club raised concerns about poor lighting on the park's path.

Alderman John Taylor, chairman of the forum, said: "We asked young people for their views and listened to what they had to say. Security and safety were important issues."

He added: "The Latchford Forum is pleased to offer help and we keep our fingers crossed that the scheme will be approved."
