Students will be paid for studying

FINANCIAL worries are a thing of the past for more than 200 students at Mid-Cheshire College who get paid for studying.

The Government introduced Educational Maintenance Allowances (EMAs) in 2004 to encourage young people to stay in education.

It believes this encourages people who may have otherwise been forced into employment because of financial difficulties to study.

The grant is means tested and students can receive up to £30 each week.

For more information, ring the college on 01606 74444.
