Man charged with partner's murder found dead in his cell

A WARRINGTON man due to stand trial for murder has died in prison.

It is believed that Brian Chorley was found dead in his cell in Altcourse jail in Liverpool, in the early hours of Friday.

Chorley, aged 62, was charged with the murder of his partner, 33-year-old Nicola Briggs, of Budworth Avenue in Westy.

His trial was due to start at Chester Crown Court yesterday, Monday.
