The Wolves raise their game for new team mates

WARRINGTON Wolves have decided to support St Rocco's Hospice as the charity celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The club has nominated the Bewsey-based cancer charity for a year-long series of events, starting with a bucket collection at the Super League opener against Leigh later this month.

Andy Gatcliffe, chief executive at the Wolves, said: "I believe that more and more people in their day to day lives are hearing of and being touched by many instances relating to family members and friends having cancer and by pulling together to support St Rocco's in their work, we can all help in our own small way to fight back."

And Claire Mannock, appeals manager at the charity, said she was delighted with the announcement.

She added: "When the players visited the hospice, all the staff and patients were thrilled to meet them. The high profile of the Wolves in the community will help us tremendously in promoting our 20th anniversary events."
