Parr Hall to host record breaking concert for appeal

MORE than 220 singers from around Cheshire are taking to the Parr Hall stage for a record-breaking concert in aid of the survivors of the Asian tsunami disaster.

Singing for Survivors on Sunday, February 6, will showcase some of the north west's most celebrated musical performance groups and will represent the largest number of singers ever to appear on the Parr Hall's stage since its opening concert in 1895.

The impressive line-up includes performances from: Warrington Light Opera, Warrington Male Voice Choir, CODS, Cheshire Chord, Codys, CATS and Lymm Young Voices.

It will be the first time all these groups have performed in a concert together.

The event is also supported by Warrington Borough Council staff, who will work for free to ensure as much money as possible reaches those in need.

Tickets for Singing for Survivors are available from the Parr Hall box office by calling 442345.
