Burtonwood improves

BURTONWOOD County Primary School has improved so much over the past year that it has been removed from special measures.

Anne Hudson, head teacher of Burtonwood Community Primary, added: "The will to succeed and improve as a school has been the driving force for us all to ensure that the education we provide gets better and better. We are working hard to ensure our improvements continue and that our pupils are the ones who reap the rewards of our hard work."

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools, David Bell, added: "Thanks to strong leadership, dedicated staff and a positive commitment to tackling weaknesses head-on, pupils can look forward to a bright future."
