HALTON Brook's residents have voted for police to make anti-social behaviour and nuisance youths their top priority for a second time.
And residents are joining officers on the beat to find out more about how these issues are affecting their neighbourhood.
At the second Community Action Meeting (CAM) held last Wednesday five people volunteered to accompany officers on patrol to see community policing in action for themselves.
Of the 33 residents who attended the meeting, four were local teenagers who wanted to find out more about how their community is being policed.
The key priority for officers to focus on for the next six weeks is nuisance youths and anti-social behaviour around the Hillcrest Centre and the Sea Lane area.
"It is very encouraging to see local teenagers taking an active interest in their community and having an input into how their local neighbourhood is policed," said PC Helen Stacey.
"It is important that everyone takes the opportunity to have their say whilst helping police to tackle the priorities in Halton Brook."
