Offer to bands

UP and coming Congleton bands have the chance to develop their skills thanks to Eaton Bank School.

The high school is throwing open the doors of its music technology department to the public.

The school has worked with a sound engineer to transform the department into a professional recording studio.

It will offer a wide range of services, from band demos or jingles to recordings of people singing along to their favourite songs.

"This initiative will give bands and artists from Congleton's thriving music scene access to a professional studio, which has been available only to school students," said peripatetic guitar teacher Ian Holland.

The studio will operate outside regular school hours and during school holidays, and will be run in a similar way to other recording studios.

Anyone interested in using the studio should ring Ian on 07890-861269 or Sue Cowan on 01260-273000.
