GOOD-HEARTED women from Biddulph raised £498 for the tsunami appeal by taking part in a 'walk under the moon' on Friday.
The night-time walk saw 26 women touring the town's pubs collecting donations for the disaster fund.
A number of the women dressed up as nuns, school girls, police women, chickens and ducks as the group visited the Roaring Meg, the Biddulph Arms, the Royal Oak, the Crown and Cushion and the Swan.
The walk was organised by the female staff at funeral directors John Garside and Son.
Jane Ellis, one of the walk's organisers, said: "Sincere thanks must go to Mick and Chris Waters at the Roaring Meg for their hospitality on the night, town crier John Robinson for his sense of humour, and the people of Biddulph for their usual generosity."
Town crier John Robinson (back row, left) is pictured with the town's Deputy Mayor Elaine Baddeley (back row, third left) at the start of the walk.
