Have a gamble for charity

CHILDREN'S charity Hope House Hospice is holding a Valentine casino night at Nantwich's Pepper Restaurant to raise money for terminally ill youngsters.

The event takes place on Saturday, February 11, with funds going to help life-limited children at one of the hospice's hospitals in Oswestry that looks after youngsters from South Cheshire.

Fund-raiser Keith Cafferty said: "It is going to be a really fun evening and a bit of a novelty with people able to dress up in the theme of a night in the 1920s and '30s and be a high roller for the night.

"Tickets cost £25, which includes a buffet and the gaming tables can also be sponsored.

"At the end of the night, those who have gambled and are left with some chips will have them converted into money, which can be used to buy items from the auction."

Some 65 tickets are available from Keith on 610831.
