Teenage motorcyclist was killed in collision

A YOUNG motorcyclist who lost his life in a collision on the M6 has been named as Crewe man Kieran Narotham.

The 22-year-old, who lived with his parents at their home in Haslington, died a week last Friday when his motorbike was in collision with a BMW car.

The tragic accident happened at Sproston on the southbound carriageway of the motorway at around 5.25pm.

Kieran had recently obtained a BSc in Internet Technology from Stafford University and was working for Warwick University as an internet web site developer

His family described him as a loving and much loved son and brother, a popular person with many friends and someone who will be sadly missed by them all.

The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon at St Mary's Church in Crewe, followed by a small family service at Crewe Crematorium.

Kieran was a keen skier and his family had asked that instead of sending flowers people could make a cash donation.

This will now be passed on to Katie's Ski Track, an organisation aimed at 5 to 15 year old terminally ill children allowing them to enjoy a special skiing holiday in the Italian Dolomite mountains.

Paramedics found Kieran dead on arrival at the scene of the accident and took him to Leighton Hospital while the motorway was closed and accident investigators examined the scene.

Inspector Lynn Rudman of the Cheshire Police incident unit said they were appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them on 01244 350000.

Alternatively people can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
