DENISE Davies has been found guilty of the murder of pensioner Agnes Hanrahan.
The jury of eight women and four men took four hours to convict the 53-year-old at Chester Crown Court yesterday.
Judge Elgan Edwards recommended she serve a minimum of 18 years of her life sentence.
Davies, of Houghton Street, bludgeoned 71-year-old Agnes to death at her home in Baguley Avenue.
Judge Edwards told her: "You were allowed into her home and as a friend and you killed her to steal money for drugs.
"She was housebound, elderly and vulnerable and you took advantage of all this.
"You murdered her in the most brutal manner using her stone clock as a weapon, hitting her many times over the head."
Davies' daughter, Samantha, 18, was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to seven years.
Judger Edwards told her: "You were present at this brutal killing and played a part - I accept it was the minor part."
A third defendant, Matthew Lawson, aged 20, from Warrington, was cleared of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
