Gran's killer guilty of murder
A FORMER Warrington woman has started an 18-year prison sentence after being found guilty of murdering a Widnes grandmother.
Denise Davies, aged 53 and of Widnes, was found guilty of murder following a 13-day trial at Chester Crown Court.
Daughter Samantha Davies, aged 18, was found guilty of manslaughter and not guilty of murder and has been caged for seven years.
Matthew Lawson, aged 20, of Somerset Way, Woolston, was also found innocent of perverting the course of justice.
