Feel the rage

CAR horns are a familiar sound when you work at the Warrington Guardian.

All day long motorists approaching and travelling around Bridge Foot roundabout have to contend with other selfish beings seemingly confused about what the power being behind a wheel entails.

It's not as if the town doesn't already have enough transport problems what with traffic jams galore, without inconsiderate drivers enraging us any more.

If they're not cutting up other cars they're parking on double yellow lines.

Another favourite is purposely using the wrong lane just because it is clear of traffic and then butting in to the lane they want to be in at the front of the queue.

Now if we all behaved like that nobody would ever get anywhere would they?

These people evoke a rage that is only matched by things like thugs robbing pensioners, credit card companies, or Rebecca Loos.

On the same token, there's nothing as satisfying as when the idiot who just overtook you at 70mph on a single carriageway ends up right in front of you in the queue at the next set of traffic lights.

Nobody has a right to drive however they please, and people ought to think about cause and effect every time they get behind the wheel.

And the next time anybody feels like parking on double yellow lines on a dark road like Pepper Street in Lymm for example, they ought to think about the child that might run out from behind your vehicle ...

Surely you would rather take responsibility than end up living with the guilt of having killed somebody.
