LAST week I sat down to write yet another piece of coursework for school.
It took me half an hour and a blank page to realise that I was not going to get through it with my knowledge alone - I was going to need some outside help.
After thinking long and hard as to how I was going to find all the information I needed, my mum made the suggestion that I walk round to my local library.
To begin with, I immediately dismissed the idea, as I had not stepped through those doors in a long time.
However, the clock kept ticking and, with still no writing on my paper, the idea of the visit became a lot more appealing to me.
I nervously entered to find that my ticket was out of date, which was, of course, no surprise to me, and that the layout was very different to what I remembered as a child.
But I soon realised that the library was jam-packed full of useful and fun things for teenagers.
From free joining, free book withdrawals, frequent craft events, free Internet access and a large and up-to-date multimedia section, I was no longer ashamed about where I was, and I could not believe that I had not been sooner.
After being shown exactly where to find the information I needed for my assignment, I had lots of fun nosing around the different sections, and realised that I would be paying another visit to my local Warrington library very soon.
