Site visit over fencing row

AN INSPECTOR from Network Rail is to visit the area where fences have been put up after complaints about how the area has been left.

There was fury from residents in November after Network Rail put up the fences without consultation at the bottom of back gardens in Greenfield Way and Lindsay Walk.

The rail company said it was because the area posed a high risk in terms of trespass on to the railway track.

Speaking at the latest parish council meeting, Clr Val Godfrey said: "I hope you will point out to those who do not know the area that the trespass is occurring from an unstaffed railway station, where anyone can walk on to the track."
