Falcons fly high

Sandbach B U8s 0TATTON FALCONS U8 3

THE Falcons followed on from their impressive victory last weekend with some exciting, fast flowing football during this enthralling spectacle.

As a unit the Falcons were organised, disciplined and they produced some individual moments of flair that kept the spectators entertained.

Goalkeeper Henry McDonald had another wonderful game and pulled off at least five magnificent saves to deny Sandbach a goal. Midfield marshal Cameron Phillips organised his defensive troops to great effect.

Declan Ruddock and Sam Witter did what was asked by stopping the goal scoring opportunities posed from Sandbach's many attacks.

James Harris shone in midfield with a performance peppered with skill and creativity, earning him the man of the match trophy. This incredibly high-tempo contest also saw some superb touches and exceptional link play between Alex Roberts and Jacob Millett. Indeed, Jacob was unlucky not to score what would surely have been the season's most spectacular goal. His outrageously speculative long-range shot crashed against the crossbar with force.

Captain Ciarn O'Brien turned in another good performance and scored a well-taken goal.

When the final whistle blew the Falcons were worthy of the three-goal victory.

But full credit must go to the talented Sandbach side for their tireless energy and commitment.
