Police say body found at gas works not suspicious

DETECTIVES are not treating the death of a 40-year-old Warrington man as suspicious.

The man's body was found at the old gas works on Winwick Road at around 11.30pm on Wednesday.

Warrington CID began investigating the circumstances surrounding the death but, following a post mortem examination on Thursday, the death is no longer being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said that they would be preparing a file for the coroner.
