Hollyoaks stars drop in at fundraising fashion show

HOLLYOAKS stars made a special appearance at a charity event at Alford Hall last week to raise cash for St Rocco's Hospice and Breast Cancer Care.

Marcus Patrick who plays Ben Davies in the Channel 4 soap and Christina Bailey, aka Danni Carbone, were invited to attend the fundraiser by organisers Kristina McGuirk, aged 16, from Grappenhall, and 17-year-old Vicky Seddon from Appleton.

The girls organised the event as part of their Millennium Volunteers project, designed to encourage young people to get involved in the community.

The event, which raised £600 for the two charities, featured a showcase of entertainment, which included live music from the 'Smoke Busters' and a fashion show supported by Sara Siddons and EVE in Stockton Heath with both shops providing clothes for

the models taking part.

Cheshire Fire Service also volunteered their services, entertaining the crowds as they escorted the models down the catwalk.

Millenium Volunteers is a national project to encourage more young people aged 16-24 to get involved in the community, building on their skills and interests.
