Roadworks restart

THE long awaited road works on Common Lane will start up again this week after the Christmas break.

The work on the B5207 Common Lane, between Twiss Green Lane and A574 Warrington Road, involves reconstructing part of the road and footpath, replacing the kerbs and relaying the road surface.

Works on the residential section of Common Lane have already been finished between Twiss Green Lane and Lawton Close.

And contractor Bethell Construction will be back at work on Monday, January 24.

The work is expected to be finished by Sunday, March 20.
