ALSAGER Town bounced back from last weekend's stalemate with Stone to produce an excellent victory on Saturday.
Brotherton and Grice were the Alsager scorers as they beat fifth-placed Maine Road 2-0 away.
Grocott found Grice with a cross on 11 minutes, and he headed narrowly wide.
Alsager broke well again a minute later, and an effort from McCulloch flew just over the bar.
Maine Road were awarded a free kick on 19 minutes, and the ball found Senior, whose shot was cleared off the line by Brotherton.
Alsager took the lead on 31 minutes following a corner.
Brotherton's downward header was handled on the line by Senior, who was sent off, and Brotherton scored his 18th goal of the season from the resulting penalty.
Alsager should have gone further ahead a minute before half-time, but Macari scuffed his shot wide.
A shot by Fraser was tipped over the bar on 55 minutes by the Maine Road keeper, who made a brilliant save to keep out a Macari shot on 65 minutes.
Alsager keeper Powner made a superb stop from Clancey, and Alsager secured victory a minute from the end.
Grice won the ball from the Maine Road keeper before scoring from an acute angle.
Alsager are at home tomorrow to Fleetwood.
